Our Causes
We are very passionate people, and strive to make a positive impact, not only on the land, but on people around us.
Here are a few causes we work with, that you might be interested in learning more about.

Landcare
Landcare Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation that was established 35 years ago to support the landcare community with funding, capacity-building, on-ground projects, information, networking and promotion of landcare achievements.
We are involved with our local Landcare group - Condamine Headwaters Landcare - as volunteers. This group operates privately, and relies on grants and donations as it exists without the assistance of any government funding.

Mental Health
It is no secret that Dusty acquired PTSD through his work as a police officer, and we work through this together, with the help and support of some fantastic professionals. Dusty has given many talks at different events and podcasts, raising awareness of the importance of connections with ourselves and with others, to heal and recover. We are passionate about raising awareness and supporting others in techniques that help us all through the toughest times, working towards great health in both brain and body.
If this interests you, we recommend looking into Allan Parker at Peak Performance.
and TIACS, who provide a free phone and text counselling service offering mental health support to Australia’s blue collar community.
The Outback Mind Foundation (TOMF) is a grass roots health promotion charity focused on empowering regional men to take a proactive approach to looking after their mental health. They work towards educating men to improve mental health outcomes and to also reduce risk of men committing acts of domestic and family violence.

Lachlan Hughes Foundation
The Foundation aims to support people who are motivated ‘to do’ and are ‘implementers of change’ and ‘champions for regenerative agriculture’.
Initially in 2019 a Scholarship was established to fund one scholar annually to attend training courses in regenerative agriculture. It was project-based to ensure skill development, and mentoring provided support.
Dusty is a proud participant of the 2024 LHF scholarship program, and continues to work with the foundation, and reap the benefits of the support and knowledge gained through this important opportunity.
