About Us

We are Dusty and Nell Elsom, proud residents of the Southern Downs, QLD, where we raise our large family, and farm with passion.

We love supporting the understanding of land health that comes with our help, and have worked with people and the environment in different ways, our whole lives. Nell has been passionate about ecology and conservation her whole life and Dusty became intensely focused on the benefits of having a healthy environment when he found that aspects of his PTSD were able to be healed through the healing of the landscape.

Nestled in the picturesque Elbow Valley, we embrace the innovative practice of share-farming—a model that allows us to trade labour for land space, but also to share skills and knowledge. Most importantly, through share farming, we are also able to share friendship, values, respect, and family. This partnership is a true blessing, and one for which we are deeply grateful. Over the years we have worked together with our share farming family to radically improve the landscape and health of the farm, with our shared functional landscape management.

Our dedication to regenerating landscapes runs deep, and we believe that all land, even in urban settings, deserves thoughtful care and rejuvenation. That's why we extend our land management consultancy services to urban environments, helping others nurture and sustain the spaces they call home.

We take pride in raising our own meat using stress-free methodologies that prioritise the well-being of our animals. We gently move our stock using horses and dogs, maintaining a deep awareness of the landscape's functionality to ensure our sheep always have access to high-quality feed.

With 5 children, we live a pretty big life but are keen to meet you and work together to help you reach your land goals. :)
